Project Profile
The University of Hull’s new Beacon sports and fitness centre is an international standard, multi-use sports facility. The building has been shortlisted for the NFB New Project of the Year Award and has played a huge role in the university’s winning bid as an official Olympic partner. SBS were appointed to provide complete design and build MEP services on this Revit-designed, award-winning building.
Project Experience
The project included LTHW and direct gas fired heating, mechanical and natural ventilation systems to serve the different spaces utilising heat recovery. We also provided a complete electrical design and installation, which included a fully bespoke facade lighting system.
