In-House Prefabrication

Drawing on our diverse engineering experience, SBS has invested heavily in an in-house prefabrication facility. This facility enables us to undertake more complex, repeatable project requirements in our fully bespoke workshop to a higher standard than is often possible on a traditional construction site.

We find that modularisation results in value to our client through the following benefits:

  1. Reduction in construction risks as plant lifted to modules via workshop lifting method.
  2. Reduction in wasted material of around 10% and a 15% reduction in time. This leads to cost savings of approximately 15% compared with traditional construction methods.
  3. We can achieve a higher level of quality assurance because complex installations can be manoeuvred safely, enabling a detailed review rather than site reviews. For example, different systems and materials can be safely segregated.
